The more prototypical architecture employing materials as diverse as stone, plywood, cardboard and concrete represent high-rises and multi-story car parks, apartment buildings, and disturbing fantasy constructions with dead ends, unfathomable shafts, and ramps leading to nowhere. Her continuous occupation with architectural structures is fueled by the fact that architecture is a pivotal phenomenon of human existence. “Everything takes place in rooms – architecture is fundamental for our life,“ the artist notes. Before this backdrop she intensively dealt with urban planning for some time, also with regard to aesthetic questions. Here, she first directed her attention to “effects of movement and aspects of spatial enclosure.“
